Tristan Da Cunha is a British Overseas Territory which lies on the Atlantic Ridge south of the island of St Helena. The island’s village, Edinburgh-of-the-Seven-Seas (250 permanent inhabitants) is considered the most isolated permanent settlement on earth. The station was installed against a wall of a technical building in the village of Edinburgh-of-the-Seven-Seas.

This station can be configured to receive data from the NOAA 18 and NOAA 19 weather satellites. The reconstructed images are used to verify the quality of the site and to identify any degradation in signal reception.
